Call For Artists: Mural in Womble Park

Call for Artists: Mural in Womble Park

In honor of the 25th Anniversary of Holly Springs Parks and Recreation, the department seeks to commission one or more interactive public art mural(s) in Womble Park that celebrates outdoor recreation. The mural shall be an original work of art designed to engage visitors and encourage interaction through photography, experience, and aesthetics. One might define the goal of the mural to be “Instagram worthy” for viewer interaction. Two locations have been identified, artists can choose one or both locations. Location one is on the Womble Park picnic shelter, on the wall facing the baseball fields and horseshoe pits. The second location is on the Womble Park concession stand and restroom facility near the multipurpose fields facing the tennis courts. Artwork may be applied directly to the existing brick surface or a panel may be used as the mural surface and securely mounted at the identified location(s).For photos of the locations and more information about the project, please review the official call for artists.
