Veterans Park is dedicated to the men and women who have served our country in the military. The park features a liberty elm donated by the Elm Research Institute of Keene, NH, as an enduring symbol of freedom, as well as the War on Terror Memorial.

The park also includes a playground, accessible fishing pier and picnic shelter. The shelter is available on a first-come basis unless it is rented. To reserve the picnic shelter, call the W.E. Hunt Recreation Center at (919) 557-9600.

Fitness stations at the park are located beside the half-mile paved trail around the 4.3-acre pond. The trail connects with greenways to Sunset Lake Road and Jones Park.
