Transportation Planning

Transportation planning is the branch of planning that focuses on getting people and goods from one place to another. The Town's transportation planning efforts are guided by the Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP), which is Section 2 of Vision Holly Springs, the Town's comprehensive plan. The Town also participates in regular discussions with its neighboring municipalities, such as the Town of Apex and the Town of Fuquay-Varina, its regional partners, such as GoTriangle and the NC Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to ensure collaboration and cohesion in the transportation network.

Southwest Area Study (SWAS)

The Southwest Area Study was a study completed in 2019 by CAMPO and NCDOT that evaluated the multi-modal network and land use scenarios in and around southwestern Wake County, northern Harnett County, and the municipalities of Angier, Apex, Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs. As the study includes elements relating to the Town, it is examined when considering transportation projects in Holly Springs.
