Closures & Cancellations

Effective Monday, May 11 - Town Hall, the Law Enforcement Center, fire stations, and the Public Works facility reopen to the public.

Effective Monday, May 18 - Hunt Recreation Center, Holly Springs Cultural Center and the service window at Bass Lake Park reopen to the public for administrative purposes only. These include registering for programs and reserving facilities. Parks and greenways are open.

Open park areas and greenways remain available for use. Visitors should follow social distancing guidelines, remaining at least 6 feet away from others. Bass Lake Park and Sugg Farm gates will be open for greenway access until 7:30 p.m. daily. Boat rentals and the concession stand remain closed. 

Park amenities including athletic fields, basketball courts, restrooms, drinking fountains, and playgrounds will be closed until further notice.

Parks and recreation programs remain closed or postponed until further notice. This includes:
  • Bass Lake Visitors Center
  • Fitness classes at the Hunt Center
  • Before and after school care and track out programs
  • Adult programs
  • Senior trips and programs
  • Programs at Bass Lake and Sugg Farm
  • Ticketed performances at the Cultural Center
  • Private rentals
  • All youth athletic leagues are canceled for the remainder of the spring season. Registered participants will receive a full credit that may be applied towards registration for any future Parks and Recreation activity. The Parks and Recreation Department continues to offer a liberal refund policy for all programs.
