Violet Bell, the wild folk-soul duo based in Durham, NC, weaves from threads of folk, soul, bluegrass, psychedelic, and classical music to create original Americana.  Musicians Lizzy Ross and Omar Ruiz-Lopez draw inspiration from the natural world, ancient mythology and the Piedmont's green hills. On stage and in the studio, the energy between Lizzy Ross and Omar Ruiz-Lopez is fiery, intimate and intuitive – a performance you can’t miss!

Heartfelt, energetic, and down home. The Barefoot Movement is as down to earth as their intention for members of their audience: sit back, relax, take your shoes off, and stay a while. With crowds teeming with enthusiasm at every performance, and new fans joining the fold across the nation, word is surely spreading and the message is clear: barefoot is better. Won't you join the movement?
