Erosion & Sedimentation Control Erosion Control Design Standards and Specifications The Engineering Department has updated Section 4 of the Town of Holly Springs Engineering Design and Construction Standards to be consistent with the N.C. Erosion Control Planning and Design Manual. It is a requirement that local erosion and sediment control programs be as restrictive as state requirements. With these updates the Town of Holly Springs' Erosion and Sediment Control Design and Construction Standards meet state minimum requirements. Changes include sediment basin sizing and the use of different types of sediment basins. Most Town standards did not change since they already were more restrictive than the state's minimum design criteria. Effective May 14, 2007 - Staff requires first erosion control/environmental plan reviews to use the new standards. Developers and design consultants were sent postcards notifying them of the design standard changes. The changes were also placed on the agenda for the Town's 2007 Development Workshop on May 23, 2007. Town of Holly Springs Erosion & Sedimentation Control Program
