Reclaimed Water System
With the 500,000-gallon overhead storage tower and infrastructure in place, the Town dedicated its new Reclaimed Water System to the public with ceremony. Invitations were issued out to contractors and financiers of the project, including Congressman David Price. Also invited were the public, local businessmen, property owners in the Holly Springs Business Park and members of the 12 Oaks golf and residential community, who will be the charter customers of the system. The Town of Holly Springs Engineering Department built the system, overseeing its design, construction and permitting with the State. The Town’s Department of Public Utilities will now operate the system, managing the supply and purchases of reuse water. See a 13-minute video of the ceremonies. In the end, we feel the dedication ceremonies for the Town of Holly Springs Reclaimed Water System with the turning on of golf course sprinklers (at left with Town officials and Congressman Price) was more interesting, more attractive and more engaging than it would have been had we simply strung a ribbon across the gate at the reclaimed water tower and clipped it.
