April Farmers Market Opens Saturday, May 7 4/27/2011 The Farmers Market in the Holly Springs Village District opens for its fifth season Saturday, May 7 across from Town Hall. The new hours this season are 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Help Available for Storm Victims 4/21/2011 Government, community organizations and even individuals are coming through with offers of assistance for victims of the April 16 tornados that tore through the state. Storm Cleanup Continues as More Parks Programs Resume 4/21/2011 Holly Springs Public Works crews continue collecting storm debris with assistance from the towns of Apex and Fuquay-Varina. Meanwhile, some youth athletics contests resumed Tuesday as the Parks and Recreation Department prepared to reopen Hunt Community Center on Wednesday. Parks and Recreation Reopenings Increase 4/19/2011 Some Parks and Recreation youth athletics contests resume Tuesday while others remained canceled because of storm damage. Hunt Community Center will reopen Wednesday for regular programming. Town Hall Reopens Noon Monday 4/18/2011 Holly Springs Town Hall has electrical power and will reopen at noon Monday. Hunt Community Center and Holly Springs Cultural Center remain closed. Games for Parks and Recreation athletics leagues were canceled Monday. Police Youth Academy Accepting Applications 4/12//2011 The Holly Springs Police Department is accepting applications for this summer's Police Youth Academy, which includes a week of educational and recreational programs focusing on law enforcement as a career. Public Affairs and Communications Staff Earns 2 Statewide Awards 4/8/2011 The Town's Public Affairs and Communications Department received two awards March 31 during the annual NC3C conference of communications professionals.
