Garbage Collected New Year's Day 12/30/2010

Waste Industries will work Saturday, New Year's Day, to catch up on garbage and recycling collection that has been delayed by the snow.

Ice Delays Garbage Pickup 1 Day 12/16/2010

Waste Industries suspended garbage and recycling collection Thursday because of icy roads, pushing back collection on Thursday's and Friday's routes by one day each.

Town Offices Closed During Lunch Dec. 16 12/13/2010

All Town of Holly Springs offices will close for two hours on Thursday, Dec. 16 for the annual Town employees’ holiday luncheon.

That means you won’t be able to make a utility bill payment or conduct other business in
person or over the phone between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.

Main Street Christmas Friday, Dec. 10 12/6/2010

Enjoy music, refreshments, visits with Santa and the holiday tree lighting at the third annual Main Street Christmas on Friday, Dec. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Town Hall and Holly Springs Cultural Center.

Thanksgiving Holiday Observed 11/17/2010

Town Hall, Hunt Community Center and Holly Springs Cultural Center will close Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25-26, for Thanksgiving. The Bass Lake Park office will close Thanksgiving Day, but reopen on Friday, Nov. 26.

540 Alignment Changes Benefit Holly Springs 11/5/2010

The N.C. Turnpike Authority has eliminated two Interstate 540 extension alternatives that were most disruptive to Holly Springs while keeping a pathway that has been preserved for I-540 for many years.

Weekend Concerts Rescheduled 1/29/2010

Holly Springs Cultural Center will be closed Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 30-31, because of the winter storm. The Lisa Dames and Free Spirits Ensemble performances scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, respectively, have been rescheduled.

Motorists Urged to Prepare for Icy Weather 1/28/2010

The Holly Springs Police Department urges motorists to plan ahead for icy weather and to be especially careful if they must venture out during inclement weather.

Photo Contest Organized at Bass Lake Park 1/21/2010

Amateur photographers of all ages are invited to enter the first Bass Lake Photography Contest. Entries are due March 31. A show and reception for participants will be Friday, April 30 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center.

Rex Plans to Add Surgical Services for Town of Holly Springs 1/20/2010

Rex Healthcare, with the strong and unilateral support of the Town of Holly Springs, has announced it will submit a Certificate of Need application to the N.C. Division of Health Service Regulation for three new operating rooms, including two at a facility Rex will open here in 2012.

Holly Springs Youth Wins Regional Fitness Competition 1/14/2010

Jared Rundle from Holly Springs won the Bobcats NBA FIT ages 11-12 division on Jan. 11 in Charlotte. 

His performance will be compared with results from around the country to determine whether Jared moves on to the national finals during the NBA All-Star weekend.
