Shred-a-thon on Saturday, May 1 4/20/2010 Protect yourself from identity theft with free document shredding Saturday, May 1 from 8 a.m. until noon in the Holly Springs Police Department parking lot. The "shred-a-thon" is being held in conjunction with the season opening of the Holly Springs Farmers Market. The market will operate Saturday mornings through October in the Town Hall parking lot. Holly Springs police periodically arrange for a document shredding service to set up outside Town Hall. The purpose is to encourage safe disposal of old documents containing personal information. Bring your old bank statements, tax records, credit card statements, cancelled checks and other information. They will be destroyed for free while you watch.
