Main Street Christmas Friday, Dec. 10 12/6/2010

Enjoy music, refreshments, visits with Santa and the holiday tree lighting at the third annual Main Street Christmas on Friday, Dec. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at Town Hall and Holly Springs Cultural Center.

Kids can meet with Santa in the lobby of Town Hall while Ms. Claus reads to kids from the cultural center’s outdoor stage. Churches and businesses nearby are participating in Main Street Christmas.

Send “Season’s Greetings” to friends and neighbors via HSTV-11, the Town's government access channel on Time Warner Cable channel 11. A camera inside Town Hall will record families' holiday messages between 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. for subsequent telecast on HSTV.

Main Street Christmas ends with the tree lighting outside the cultural center led by Mayor Dick Sears, Santa Claus and the 2010 Citizen of the Year.

The celebration occurs the eve of the Happy Holidays Christmas Parade, which will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11.

Town Hall is at 128 S. Main St. The cultural center is at 300 W. Ballentine St., a block west of Town Hall.
