Police, Fire, EMS and Wake County Public Schools officials will conduct an emergency response exercise Wednesday morning, July 22, at Holly Ridge Middle School.

The drill will begin about 9 a.m. and could last as late as 3 p.m. Traffic around the school will not be affected. However, there will be a large law enforcement presence near the school. 

"We have been working on this training exercise for over six months," said Lt. Anthony Revels of the Holly Springs Police Department. "This drill will not only educate school staff and law enforcement, but will also assist us in finding gaps in current emergency operations plans." 

All school administrative teams in the Holly Springs area will participate in the exercise.
