The Mighty Mite Gold team plays Wendell on Sunday, Nov. 15 in Clayton in the semi-finals of the East Wake Football League playoffs.  The winner will move on to play in the league championship.

The Mighty Mite Gold team defeated Fuquay-Varina on Saturday, Nov. 7 in Franklinton to advance to the semi-finals. The Yellow Jackets squad was the North Division regular season champion with a 7-1 record, finishing undefeated in the seven division games.

Holly Springs Parks and Recreation football players are the Yellow Jackets, split into the Mini Mite (ages 7-8), Mighty Mite (ages 9-10) and Pee Wee (ages 11-12) divisions.

The Yellow Jackets play in the East Wake Football League, which represents 13 towns and communities in central North Carolina. Each has Mini Mite, Mighty Mite and Pee Wee teams. The league not affiliated with any Pop Warner association.
