Holiday Celebration Sunday, July 5 6/25/2009

Enjoy an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration with fireworks and other family fun Sunday, July 5 at Womble Park from 5-9 p.m.

Admission is free and open to everyone.

Festivities will include musical entertainment, food and inflatables for the kids in addition to the fireworks.

The Holly Springs Police Department will have a bike and wagon parade around the baseball fields. Kids can decorate their bikes at home or use materials that are provided.

Other highlights will include:

• Crafts for kids
• Potato sack races
• A watermelon seed spitting contest
• Face-painting and other games.

Cap your holiday weekend with this old-time celebration at Womble Park.
