The Town is seeking public comment as it updates the plan for dealing with hurricanes and other natural disasters.

To reduce vulnerability to natural hazards and to speed recovery when disaster strikes, the Town has a Hazard Mitigation Plan. The Town of Holly Springs' plan was approved in 2004, and an update is under way.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the N.C. Division of Emergency Management require municipalities to update their Hazard Mitigation Plan every five years to remain eligible for disaster assistance. The Town of Holly Springs' plan was approved in 2004 and updated in 2009.
