Bass Lake Park Hosts Wedding Show March 30 1/30/2008

If you're planning a wedding or just thinking ahead, mark your calendar for the 3rd annual Southwest Wake County Wedding Show on Sunday, March 30 at Bass Lake Park and Retreat Center.

Meet the area's finest event coordinators, caterers, stylists, musicians and others who can help with all the arrangements. Learn about jewelry, decor, makeup, transportation and other details. The show will last from 1-4 p.m.

"This isn't your typical cattle round-up 'buffet style' wedding show," said Scott Barnard, park manager. "You'll meet the vendors who will be at your wedding in an intimate and informal setting, not a salesperson looking for a commission."

The wedding show is free to attend and open to all.

This year's event will be better than ever with the addition of a raffle and fashion show. The raffle will include items that vendors donate totaling more than $2,000 in value.

Additional vendors who would like to join this year's show can call the Bass Lake Park office at (919) 557-2496 for more details. The $75 fee for vendors helps pay such costs as advertising and brochure publication.

Bass Lake Park is 1.5 miles down Bass Lake Road from Holly Springs Road. Rehearsal and wedding weekend packages are available, allowing outdoor seating with scenic views of the lake. Call the park office for more information.
