Stinson One-Way Oct. 25 10/24/08

Stinson Avenue from Grigsby Avenue to Indian Hill Road will be one-way Saturday, Oct. 25 until 5 p.m. to allow more on-street parking for HollyFest and for voting at Hunt Community Center.

The one-day switch to one-way traffic will provide room for parking on Stinson Avenue beside the soccer fields in Womble Park. That is a change from previous HollyFest celebrations.

With the completion of Stinson Avenue this year, motorists can reach Bass Lake Road, providing more options for routing traffic near the park and community center.

On Saturday, drivers can also turn left on Indian Hill Road and pass through the Remington subdivision to go toward downtown. Indian Hill Road is across Stinson Avenue from the lower parking lot at Womble Park.

The 2008 HollyFest will be the biggest yet, with food, music, crafts, contests, games for kids and much more at Womble Park.

The fourth annual fall festival begins at 10 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. Admission is free.

Voting began Oct. 23 at the Hunt Center.
