Town Hosts Baseball Tourney 7/02/08

Holly Springs' Womble Park will host two Cal Ripken Division youth baseball tournaments July 3-6, drawing District 2 teams from counties including Vance, Granville, Durham and Orange.

District 2 Tournament Brackets: 12 & Under | 10 & Under

The gate fee is $5 for adults and $2 for students, with children 5 and under admitted free.

Holly Springs Parks and Recreation has two teams competing in the eight-team 10-&-under bracket and one team in the five-team 12-&-under bracket. Holly Springs is part of District 2, which includes Alamance, Durham, Franklin, Granville, Orange, Vance and Warren counties in addition to Wake County.

Championship teams from each tournament will compete in the state tournament for their age division.
