Angel Tree Project Under Way 11/21/2008

The Town of Holly Springs is enlisting citizens to help families in need save their children's Christmas.

With the annual Angel Tree project, participants pick a paper angel off the Christmas tree in the lobby of Town Hall. The angels have gift wishes and clothing sizes of children whose families need assistance.

Choose an angel from the tree in the lobby weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please return all wrapped gifts by Thursday, Dec. 11 to allow Santa's helpers to deliver in time for the holiday.  

This year participants have the opportunity to brighten Christmas for 95 children.

"You can tell each year that our town is truly committed to going above and beyond in helping our children in need," said Annmarie Forbis, administrative specialist for the Human Resources Department.

“Whether you are a first time sponsor or a returning sponsor, you'll understand our excitement and enthusiasm as we reach out to our Holly Springs families,” she said. “There is so much joy that comes from giving to others who are in need.”
