Town Initiates Track Out & After School Programs 4/16/07

Registration begins May 1 at Hunt Community Center for an expanded program offering safe, fun activities to children after school and to year-round students on break.

The Parks and Recreation Department's after school and track out programs will start in August and run through June 2008. They're for children ages 5 - 14 who attend school in Holly Springs.

The Town has offered after school activities to children attending traditional calendar and year-round schools. The program is being expanded to year-round students on break because so many will attend year-round schools this fall.

Activities will include arts and crafts, sports, nature programs, etc. Trackout program hours are 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. The programs will not operate during school holidays.

Track Out Program

• Program runs Aug. 20, 2007 - June 2008
• Fees are $300 per track out session for residents and $360 for non-residents. You may pay weekly.
• After-School option for year-round students at Holly Grove and Holly Springs elementary schools is available for $22 per week for residents and $26 for non-residents.

After School Program

• Pickup will be provided only at Holly Springs, Holly Ridge and Holly Grove elementary schools and at Holly Ridge Middle School.
• Registration fee is $30 and covers August. Beginning Sept. 1, monthly fees are $88 for residents and $96 for non-residents. Multi-child discounts are provided.
