Farmers Market Opens Saturday, June 2 5/21/07

Visit downtown on Saturday mornings starting June 2 for the freshest fruits, vegetables, baked goods and seafood.

The Farmers Market in the Downtown Village District will be open from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturdays. It will be in the parking lot next to Town Hall on the 100 block of South Main Street. See a map.

Vendors throughout the season will have a variety of fruits and vegetables, baked goods and body care items. We are continuing to recruit new vendors.

Vendors must produce the food and make the crafts that they sell. There is no restriction on how far away they can live.

A survey last fall that drew more than 600 responses showed strong support for a farmers market here.
