Town Council Adopts Budget 6/06/07 The Town Council has adopted the 2007-2008 budget, which keeps the same property tax rate while adding police officers, firefighters and other positions to keep pace with growth. The property tax rate remains at 53 cents
per $100 valuation on a tax base of approximately Yard waste fees do not change in the 2007-2008 budget, which takes effect July 1. Solid waste and recycling fees rise 15 cents per month to $9.95 and $2.55, respectively. Monthly access fees for water and for sewer increase by 50 cents each to prepare for the upcoming wastewater treatment plant expansion and for future water needs.
