Community Yard Sale Set for April 8 2/17/06

Registration is under way for a community-wide yard sale that will take place during Spring Fling on Saturday, April 8.

Pay a $5 registration fee by March 20 to reserve booth space at the main yard sale in Womble Park. Crafts vendors and other local businesses can sign up for space there in addition to homeowners.

As part of Spring Fling, the Town is also promoting individual yard sales throughout Holly Springs on April 8. Homeowners and businesses can pay a $1 fee by March 20 to have their address included in yard sale promotions. These include an advertisement in The Holly Springs Sun.

Register and pay fees at the Hunt Center on Stinson Avenue. Hours are 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Fridays. For more information, call (919) 557-9602.

Activities for kids during Spring Fling will include inflatable equipment for bouncing and climbing, face-painting and visits with the Easter Bunny. A scramble for Easter eggs will take place at 4 p.m.

The Craig Woolard Band will perform during a dance at the Hunt Center gymnasium the evening of April 8. Tickets are $5 at the door. Children 12 and under will be admitted for free.
