New Cultural Center Offers Volunteer Opportunities 09/06/06

Are you interested in volunteering at the new Holly Springs Cultural Center?

There are many fun and meaningful ways to serve, even before the center opens this December a block from Town Hall. The project represents the first partnership of its kind in Wake County - a town cultural center connected to a new Wake County library.

Volunteering offers a great way for people to connect with each other and assist with the events at the cultural center. Whether you are handing out programs with an old friend or taking tickets with someone you just met, it will be a rewarding way to contribute to the community.

Join our team of volunteers today. We are currently looking for friendly faces interested in donating their time and talents to the arts in these areas:

• Ushering and ticket-taking
• Sale of artists' merchandise before shows, during intermission, and afterward
• Special events and children's show assistance
• Gallery & exhibition coordination
• Front desk and clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, mailing, data entry
• Graphic design and copyediting
• Marketing
