"Track Out" Programs Available for Year-Round Students 06/21/06

Need something fun for your Holly Grove Elementary or West Lake student to do while on year-round calendar break next school year?

Registration continues until July 25 for the Parks and Recreation Department's program for students at those schools who are between year-round sessions.

The track out programs run Aug. 21, 2006 through June 6, 2007. The cost is $300 per track out session for Holly Springs residents and $360 per session for non-residents.

Activities will include arts and crafts, sports, nature programs and more. The hours are 7 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Children should bring lunch and a snack.

The department is also offering an after school program for year-round students at Holly Grove Elementary only. The cost is $22 per week for residents and $26 for non-residents.

Parents pay fees when they register their child. A completed registration form and a current copy of the child's immunization record are required.

The track out program is canceled when Wake County schools close for inclement weather.
