Parks & Recreation Survey Available Online 04/03/06 A new online survey asks what people like about living and playing in Holly Springs and what additional recreation programs or facilities are needed. The survey is part of a continuing effort to develop recreation programs that are fun, safe, affordable, and meaningful. Last summer, the Town Council approved creation of a Youth Assessment Team to help promote recreation options for youth. Wake County's Human Services Department and 4-H Youth Development are part of the effort. The survey is intended for people of all ages. The Youth Assessment Team wants to use surveys, focus groups and forums to define needs and identify resources. This is the third time in about three years that Holly Springs residents have been surveyed regarding parks and recreation needs. "The survey should provide us this type of information that we can use at a later date to address the program needs of the town," said Len Bradley, Parks and Recreation director. If you have questions or need assistance regarding the survey, contact Sarah Kennedy, office manager for the Parks & Recreation Department, at (919) 557-3930 or e-mail sarah.kennedy@hollyspringsnc.us.
