HollyFest Held Saturday, Oct. 28 10/20/06 Enjoy food, music, crafts, fireworks and other family fun at our annual HollyFest celebration Saturday, Oct. 28 at Womble Park. The festival will run from 10 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. General admission is free. Everyone is invited. The Town is spearheading the festival, coordinating with churches, businesses, civic groups, etc. Highlights include a hay bale maze, kids’ rides, a business expo by the Chamber of Commerce, and “Hogway Speedway” with animal races. Before the event, join the HollyFest 5K at the park. There will be a mile fitness walk plus a “tot trot” for kids 10 and under. Call Jackie Miller at (919) 552-2817 for more information. The Kiwanis Club will also host a Haunted School House at Hunt Community Center Friday and Saturday evenings, Oct. 20-21 and Oct. 27-28.
