Bass Lake Day Held Saturday, Oct. 7 10/06/06 Celebrate the third annual Bass Lake Day at Bass Lake Park Saturday, Oct. 7 with all kinds of interactive environmental displays and activities. The event is on, rain or shine. Admission is free. Kick back for a free concert by the Bass Lake Drifters from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Barbecue plates will be sold starting at 5 p.m. Make yourself comfortable. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. Exhibitors include Ducks Unlimited, N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission with the Archery Range, N.C. Bluebird Society, N.C. Museum of Natural Science, Wake County Master Gardeners, Wake County Bee Keepers Association, plus others. The weekend begins at Bass Lake Park with a free concert by Trish Miller on Friday night, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. The concert will be indoors because of the rainy weather.
