1/31/05 Telephone Book Recycling Station To Be Set Up Near Town Hall The Town of Holly Springs will host a telephone book recycling station Feb. 14 through April 11 as part of Wake County 's 14th annual Telephone Book Recycling Program. The depository will be located in the paved parking lot on the southeast corner of the intersection of Ballentine St. and Avent Ferry Rd. This parking lot is located directly across Ballentine Street from the Police Station. Residents are asked to place only phone books in the designated recycling container. Phone books can not be recycled at residential curbsides because they have glued bindings. Separate igloos for paper products, glass, plastic and aluminum cans are available at the same location. Residents who want to recycle phone books before Feb. 14 or after the Holly Springs depository closes should go to the South Wake Multi Material Facility located at 6000 Old Smithfield Rd. in Apex. The facility will be collecting telephone books from Jan. 24-May 23. For more information, contact the Town of Holly Springs Public Works Department at (919) 552-5920.
