$5 Rabies Vaccinations to be Given Feb. 12 at Womble Park

Calling all dog and cat owners! The Town of Holly Springs is cosponsoring a rabies vaccination clinic Saturday, Feb. 12, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Womble Park picnic shelter. For only $5 per animal, certified veterinarians with the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine will be administering the shots.

To participate, pet owners must secure dogs on leashes and hold cats in carriers or boxes. To receive a three-year rabies vaccination, written proof of a previous rabies vaccination must be provided. Otherwise, one-year rabies vaccinations will be provided.

Maintaining current inoculation against rabies is mandated by Town ordinance for dogs and cats ages four months and older.

For additional information, contact Eddie Holland, Holly Springs animal control officer, at (919) 552-7110 . In addition to the Town of Holly Springs, other event cosponsors are North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Wake County Animal Control.
