Parks & Recreation Holds Open House Aug. 18

The Parks & Recreation Department is holding an open house from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the Hunt Center. Residents are invited to meet the Parks & Recreation staff, take advantage of free access to the fitness room, listen to music by the Holly Springs Town Band, and enjoy free cookies and punch.

“This open house is our way of encouraging residents to come out and meet the staff, ask questions, give us comments, and see what we're all about,” said Len Bradley, Parks & Recreation director.

At the open house, residents have the opportunity to meet new and longtime staff and get information about Parks & Recreation programs and facilities, parks, athletics, children's and adult programs, special events, volunteer opportunities, new Art for Everybody cultural and arts programs, after school and summer camp programs, leisure activities for seniors, and more.

“It's an open house, so there's no set time to come,” said Recreation Programs Superintendent Johnny Dickinson. “All the Parks & Recreation staff will be here, and we'll have information available about how to get involved in our programs and activities.”
