Groundbreaking for 118,000-Square-Foot Facility in Holly Springs This Wednesday
Construction of OFM Marks Trend in Increased Interest in Holly Springs Business Park

The Town of Holly Springs is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at noon this Wednesday, May 25, for Office Furniture Marketing, Inc. (OFM). The 118,000-square-foot OFM facility will mark the construction of the largest building in the Holly Springs Business Park in 15 years. The facility will serve as a warehouse and distribution center for the office furniture company.

“We're excited to have such a significant commercial investment come to the Holly Springs Business Park,” said Jenny Mizelle, Economic Development Department director. “This groundbreaking marks a trend in increased interest in the park.”

The 400-acre Holly Springs Business Park currently hosts more than 35 businesses. A large portion of the park, 240 acres, is a designated US Department of Commerce Foreign Trade Zone, which enables businesses to defer or eliminate tariffs on certain goods. The park also is a NC Department of Commerce certified industrial site, deemed ready for development.

Attending the OFM groundbreaking will be company officials, including Abel Zalcberg, president and owner of OFM, and Holly Springs Town and chamber officials and staff. Brief remarks will be given by Zalcberg and Town officials.

The groundbreaking will be held on the future OFM site at 170 Tradition Trail. From the NC 55 Bypass, turn onto New Hill Road. Take the first left onto Irving Parkway, and turn right onto Thomas Mill Road. Turn left on Premier Drive and left on Tradition Trail. The groundbreaking will be held on the OFM property at the end of the cul-de-sac. Click here for a map; OFM is located on lot 16.

More About the Business Park

The Holly Springs Business Park has fully serviceable sites with an ample water supply, expanding wastewater treatment facilities, a reuse system in the design phase and high-speed internet access. Areas at the front of park are designed for retail and mixed use, based on their proximity to the highway. And, as the parkway that runs through the business park is extended, manufacturing, warehouse and distribution centers, and offices will line the four-lane, median-divided parkway.
