HollyFest Festival Set for Oct. 28-29, 2005

Enjoy food, music, arts and crafts, fireworks, and other family fun at Holly Springs ' annual community festival, HollyFest, on Friday night and Saturday, Oct. 28-29, 2005, at Womble Park.

Admission to the festival is free. Everyone is invited.

Highlights this year include the Kiwanis Club haunted school, a hay bale maze, NASCAR simulator, Hogway Speedway, children's rides, and re-enactors of the Civil War's 26th N.C. Regiment.
The HollyFest 5K on the morning of Oct. 29 will be followed by a 1-mile fitness walk and a “tot trot.”

Festival hours are 6:30 - 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 28 and 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Holly Springs town government is spearheading the festival, coordinating with churches, businesses, civic organizations and individuals.

To volunteer during HollyFest, call Lois Ragsdale-Houck, executive assistant with the Town of Holly Springs at (919) 557-3903. Please sign up by Oct. 15.
