Statue of Liberty Bike Coming to Holly Springs Public Safety

The Statue of Liberty Bike is coming to Holly Springs in time for Independence Day, and Holly Springs Public Safety is inviting locals to come to police headquarters on Sunday, July 3, from 4-6 p.m. to view the motorcycle.

The Statue of Liberty Bike is a motorcycle created by the Orange County Choppers that incorporates some of the original copper fixtures from the Statue of Liberty. The chopper was featured on the Discovery Channel's American Chopper show in Episode 24. According to the Discovery Channel website, the chopper includes “innovative touches like a right-side drive line and a torch-shaped carburetor.”

The chopper will be on display at the Public Safety headquarters adjacent to Town Hall on Ballentine St. in downtown Holly Springs while the owner of the motorcycle is visiting a friend who is a Holly Springs resident.
