Booster Club Donates Football, Cheerleading Equipment to Town

The Holly Springs Football and Cheerleading Booster Club recently announced that it will be donating supplemental athletic equipment to the Town.

Football equipment to be donated includes a $750 contribution toward the cost of a 42 ft. x 6 ft. NCA Flexi Roll Stunt Mat; a two-man youth chute, valued at $880; running ropes, valued at $295; three medium blocking dummies, valued at $262; and four half-round blocking dummies, valued at $300.

In addition, the club also paid for a cheerleading stunt clinic and purchased music, at a total cost of $1,500, which the cheer teams used for competitions during last year's season.

This is the second year that the Booster Club has participated in supplementing the equipment provided by the Town's Parks and Recreation Department. 

"We appreciate the opportunities that the Town has provided for our kids and look forward to continuing our support," said Hank Dickson, a spokesman for the club who also is a Town councilman.
