Pre-Season Meetings for Youth Basketball Scheduled 10/21/05

Youth basketball skills assessment and coaches' meetings for the winter season will be held in early November at the Hunt Center.

Youth basketball practice starts the week of Nov. 14. Games begin Saturday, Dec. 17.

Age groups are determined by the child's age as of Jan. 1, 2006 . Here is the meetings schedule:

•  Junior Boys (ages 9&10)
Skills assessment - Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 6 p.m.
Coaches' meeting - Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 7 p.m.

•  Mighty Mites (7&8)
Coaches' meeting - Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005 at 6 p.m.
(No skills assessment; players notified within 24 hours of coaches' meeting)

•  Junior Girls (9&10)
Skills assessment - Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at 6 p.m.
Coaches' meeting - Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005 at 7 p.m.

•  Midget (11&12) & Prep Girls (13-15)
Skills assessment - Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at 6 p.m.
Coaches' meeting - Monday, Nov. 7, 2005 at 7 p.m.

•  Midget Boys (11&12)
Skills assessment - Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at 6 p.m.
Coaches' meeting - Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2005 at 7 p.m.

•  Prep Boys (13-15)
Skills assessment - Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at 6 p.m.
Coaches' meeting - Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005 at 7 p.m.

All new players to the league and all players moving up in age group need to attend their assigned skills assessment time. All players returning to the same age group need not attend. Players should hear from the coach within 24 hours of their age division meeting.
