Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round the Christmas Tree

In honor of the men and women of our armed forces this holiday season, the Town of Holly Springs is inviting residents to trim the Town Hall tree with Christmas ornaments tied with yellow ribbons.

Clear glass ornaments fashioned with red, white and blue accents and adorned with yellow ribbons are available in the Town Hall lobby for residents who would like to place ornaments on the tree in honor of loved ones or just to honor veterans in general. There is no charge.

Councilman Hank Dickson ’s wife, Chris, suggested the idea with friends at Town Hall.

“We agreed it would be a great way to show our local families who are missing their loved ones that they truly are not alone and that their community supports them and the troops,” said Joni Powell , Town Clerk.

The ornaments and markers to add the names of soldiers, squadrons, duty stations or branches of the military are available in the front lobby of Town Hall.
