Holly Springs to Gain National Television Exposure April 15
Television Announcement Part of Honor Given to Only 25 Cities

Holly Springs is getting national exposure! A two-minute award announcement about the Town will air on Headline News Network (HLN) on April 15 between 6 and 6:30 p.m. during that half hour's broadcast of CNN Headline News. The announcement is one part of a national award that recognizes achievement for being one of America 's best managed small cities – an honor that was given to only 25 cities in 2003.

Champions of Industry chose Holly Springs to be one of the recipients of the award because of the Town's growth – not just population growth but infrastructure growth, as well. With a new Town Hall, police station, and elementary and middle schools, Holly Springs is also planning on a new park, library and cultural arts center, and high school opening soon.

In addition to air-time on HLN, the Town will be featured in a print advertisement in the April 12, 2004, issue of Forbes Magazine. And, a five-minute video is being produced about the Town. The Town's Economic Development Department is planning on distributing copies of the video to businesses interested in locating to Holly Springs.

“It's very important that we publicize our Town, particularly to commercial developers,” said Dick Sears, mayor of Holly Springs. “This gives us the chance to tell them who we are, what we are and what we stand for.”
