Charlotte's Web to Air in Womble Park
Friday, March 19, is First Free Outdoor Movie of Year

The first community movie night of the year will be held Friday, March 19, in Parrish Womble Park. Charlotte's Web, an animated movie about a spider who vows to save a young pig's life, will be shown on a screen in the band shell. The free children's movie will begin at dark, at about 6:30 p.m., and free popcorn will be available. Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs.

Donations for the Communitywide Food Bank will be accepted at the event. The movie is sponsored by Holly Springs Parks and Recreation, the Southwest Wake YMCA and Assets Build Character, a local organization that promotes character development.

The movie will be canceled if the weather is threatening or if the temperature is below 60 degrees.

Other free movies to be shown in the park this year include Ice Age, April 16; Shrek, May 21; Peter Pan, June 18; Fern Gully, July 16; and Spell Bound, Aug. 20.
