Sponsorships Now Available for Holly Springs Youth Athletics Teams
Desire to Keep Fees Low Despite Rising Equipment Costs Drives Sponsorship Initiative

The Holly Springs Parks & Recreation Department is beginning a sponsorship program for youth athletics that will keep registration costs at a minimum while giving businesses and individuals a unique advertising opportunity.

Beginning this winter basketball season, athletic team sponsorships will be sold by Holly Springs Parks & Recreation. Team sponsorships start at $200, and each sponsorship will cover uniform costs for the team sponsored. Any money left over will be used for equipment for the sponsor’s team. The sponsor’s name or logo will be printed on team jerseys, displayed on a banner in the Hunt Community Center gymnasium and posted on the Womble Park baseball press box/concession stand.

Holly Springs athletic fees are generally cheaper than those charged by other Wake County communities, which often charge a membership fee in addition to the registration fees for each sport.

Team sponsorships are win-win situations where sponsors get the benefit of advertising and community involvement while Holly Springs athletic participants keep low registration rates, despite rising costs for team uniforms and equipment, lighting, referees, field maintenance and other costs associated with sports.

In addition to youth basketball teams, sponsorships for baseball and spring and fall soccer teams also will be available. Sponsorships will not be available for other sports, such as lacrosse, football, and track and field, because of the limited number of teams.

In addition to the sponsor’s name being displayed on team uniforms, in the Hunt Center gymnasium and at Womble Park, a plaque will be given to sponsors in recognition of their support. For select baseball teams, instead of the sponsor’s name being printed on team uniforms, the name will be printed on warm-up jackets, equipment bags, sweats or other equipment that maintains conformity for the teams.

Sponsorship for one seasonal team is $200, $350 for two teams, $475 for three teams and $600 for four teams. Sponsorship for a select baseball team is $500.
