Yard Waste
ChipperThe Town collects yard waste Monday through Wednesday (click here for the schedule) except during peak leaf season (Nov. 1-Jan. 31 when crews continuously circulate throughout Town), during inclement weather events such as snowstorms, if equipment is damaged, and on Town holidays.
  • Do not bag your yard waste.
  • Grass clippings, leaves, pine needles, small limbs, twigs, shrubs, and plant and hedge clippings are collected by Town crews.
  • Please keep limbs, shrubs and hedge clippings in a separate pile from lighter yard waste (grass clippings, leaves and pine needles). Different trucks collect different types of yard waste, and the vacuum truck that collects lighter yard waste can be damaged by sticks. Piles should be placed at the edge of your front yard off the street pavement.
  • Yard waste contaminated with non-organic rubbish will be left at the curb for disposal by the resident.
