Planning Board
The Planning Board is a citizens advisory board that reviews zoning and development issues and projects. It is made up of eight members. Seven live inside Town limits, and one resides within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ).
The Planning Board reviews all development proposals for rezoning and other development-related requests. The board also reviews revisions and additions to zoning regulations and the Comprehensive Plan and makes recommendtions to the Town Council. The Planning Board has no judicial authority. The council relies the board for guidance.

The Planning Board meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers, 128 S. Main St. Meetings are open to the public and include a public comment period at the beginning.
Members are appointed on a rotating schedule to three-year terms by the Town Council. If a seat is vacated, a new member is appointed mid-year to fill the remainder of the term.
If you are interested in being considered for membership on the Planning Board, please complete the attached application. Original, signed applications are required in order to be considered. Submit the application to the Department of Planning & Zoning.

Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment is made up of eight members; four members and two alternates live inside the Town limits, and one member and one alternate live within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ). The Board of Adjustment meets, as needed, at 7 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers at 128 S. Main Street. The meetings are open to the public.The Board of Adjustment has quasi-judicial powers and acts separately from the Town Council. The Board of Adjustment conducts public hearings and renders rulings on variances from the Unified Development Ordinance. The Board of Adjustment also hears any appeals to decisions made by the Department of Planning & Zoning staff. Board of Adjustment members are listed below:

Technical Review Committee (TRC)
The Technical Review Committee is comprised of the town manager; assistant town manager; directors of Planning & Zoning, Engineering, and Parks & Recreation; and representatives from the Town Council and Planning Board. The TRC is responsible for the review and approval or denial of non-gateway, non-residential projects.
The TRC also assists the director of Planning & Zoning in the interpretation, enforcement or application of the Unified Development Ordinance and advises the director on suggested or proposed amendments to the UDO. The TRC meets at 3 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month in the Town Hall Executive Conference Room, 128 S. Main St.

Recreation Advisory Committee
The Recreation Advisory Committee has nine members. It meets at 7 p.m. the second Thursday of each month in the Town Hall Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public.
The committee advises the Town Council and the Parks & Recreation Department. It serves as a liaison between the Town and the citizens of Holly Springs and the surrounding area. To contact the board, e-mail pradvisoryboard@hollyspringsnc.us.
