McGruff the Crime Dog with SgtCrime Prevention

The Holly Springs Police Department offers home and business security inspection, domestic violence referrals and many other services for a safe community.

Holly Springs officers are ready to meet with citizens about neighborhood issues or crime prevention tactics. They can advise citizens on starting or rejuvenating Neighborhood Watch programs.

For more information on crime prevention, contact Lt. Anthony Revels at (919) 567-4721 or
e-mail Lt. Robbie Parrish.

Identity Theft

Identity theft is the fastest-growing crime in the nation, victimizing millions of people each year. It costs time and money. Learn how to prevent identity theft and what to do if it happens to you.

Gang Awareness

Holly Springs police want to be proactive and deter gangs from becoming entrenched in the community. As with drugs, no town is immune. The Police Department educates parents and others in the community on signs of youth involvement with gangs.

More Information

McGruff the Crime Dog

To schedule an appearance by McGruff, call Lt. Robert Parrish at (919) 567-4707 or email robbie.parrish@hollyspringsnc.us. Please give 2-4 weeks notice.

Through McGruff's interaction with kids, Holly Springs police hope to get parents more involved in crime prevention efforts such as Community Watch.

Other Precautions

  • Car Locking - Locking your car substantially reduces the likelihood that thieves will break into it. Also, don't leave cell phones, laptops and other valuables where thieves can see them.
  • ATM Safety - Practice safety at ATM machines, preferably using them during daylight and when other people are around. Remain aware of your surroundings.
  • Bicycle Registration - Download a registration form to fill out and mail to us. Look for the manufacturer's registration number under the pedals or on the frame near the rear tire. If you can't find that number, visit the Police Department for a bicycle identification sticker to use instead. Registration can help us return your bike if it's lost or stolen.
