News Sunset Lake Road Corridor Sept. 14, 2009 from 6 - 7 p.m. The Holly Springs Department of Planning & Zoning has received several requests to modify the ZIP code of several neighborhoods along Sunset Lake Road from Apex to Holly Springs. However, the Town does not have the authority to make this change. The Town can request that the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) consider making this change. The USPS bases this determination on the serviceability of the area by the Holly Springs Post Office and other factors. The Postal Service will only make the change if postal customers vote in favor of it through an official survey. Over the past five years, many areas of Holly Springs have had their ZIP codes modified from either Fuquay-Varina or Apex to Holly Springs as result of this process. Before requesting that the USPS change the ZIP code, the Town would like to hear from those who may be affected. A public information meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 from 6 - 7pm in the Town Hall 2nd Floor Council Chambers at 128 S.
