Inclement Weather Policy

The Parks & Recreation Department follows the Wake County Public Schools cancellation policy for programs, classes, games, etc., during weekdays at Town facilities.

• Evening programs, games, etc., – A decision will be made by 4 p.m.
• Weekend programs, games, etc., – A decision will be made by 8 a.m. Saturday

For more information, call the facility where the activity is scheduled.

Weather Policy Notes

After School & Track Out - Programs do not operate when Wake County Public Schools cancels classes for that day. If schools close early due to inclement weather, the program does not operate that day.

Youth Athletics - Practice cancellations are at the coach's discretion. However, if field conditions warrant, the Parks and Recreation Department will cancel practices. Coaches will be notified.

Youth Athletics - Games rescheduled for Saturdays due to inclement weather will not be changed to accommodate year-round make-up days that fall on Saturday.
