Welcome to the Holly Springs Parks & Recreation Department. Our goal is to provide all residents with diverse opportunities for a quality leisure experience.

Cultural Center and Bass Lake ParkWhat We Offer

  • Athletic programs for all ages in a variety of sports
  • Cultural arts programs, events and classes
  • Summer camps focusing on cultural arts, sports, nature, etc., plus a summertime work crew for which 14-16 year olds can apply.
  • After school programs for students on traditional and year-round school calendars
  • Track out programs for year-round students on break
  • Special events including the annual HollyFest celebration in October, TurtleFest in spring and Bass Lake Day in the fall.
  • The HURRAHS! newsletter has detailed descriptions of the season's programs, classes and events and how to register. Online registration is available for many programs and activities.

    Inclement Weather Policy

    Call the message board and weather hotline at (919) 557-2939 and press 5 or call any facility. The Wake County Public Schools cancellation schedule applies during weekdays. More details

    Fees and Charges

    The Town Council sets fees for programs and activities. Inability to pay does not exclude participation. Formal proof of need may be required. Refund requests are assessed a $15 service charge per participant per activity. See amenities & fees.

    The Parks & Recreation Policy Manual has details on registration, facility rental, rules, ordinances, fees, etc.

    Non-Discrimination Policy

    Facilities and services are available to all without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin or disability. We support the full participation of people with disabilities alongside those without disabilities. Accommodations are provided on request. Examples include sign language, trained support staff and adapted equipment.

    Vision for the Future

    Beyond the Green is the Holly Springs Parks & Recreation master plan adopted in August 2007.
