The Retreat Center

The Retreat Center is constructed on piers over Bass Lake, giving it a unique ‘beach house’ feel. Facilities include a conference room and deck that are both available for rental. It also includes a visitor center, staff offices and dock.

Conference Room

The conference room is surrounded on three sides by glass French doors overlooking the lake and completely surrounded with a large veranda. Inside, the floors are a blue slate tile. The interior walls feature a custom wainscot and chair rail. The tray ceiling and recessed lighting offer eight different lighting combinations to set any mood. Inside are separate men’s and women’s restrooms and catering kitchen. The kitchen has an oversized residential refrigerator, dishwasher, convection oven, flat top range, microwave, double sink, coffee maker and small commercial ice machine.

Deck

The deck offers over 2,000 square feet of surface including a covered gazebo. Constructed of composite material, the deck is slip resistant and consistent surface in a neutral gray color that can be dressed up or down depending on the formality of the occasion. The picket railings are gloss white and all covered areas feature white bead board ceilings. The conference room’s verandah also includes recessed speakers networked to the AV system.

Weekend Wedding:  Friday noon through Sunday noon, including the deck, AV, tables and chairs.  Park staff will perform two set-ups, for a rehearsal dinner and wedding / reception.  Deposits and after-hours fees are still applicable.

Business Package:  Available all non-holiday weekdays from 8 AM until 5 PM.  Rental includes tables, chairs and AV equipment.  Coffee service is available through the concession stand.

A minimum three hour rental is required.  After hours staffing fee only applies if the rental exceeds park hours, 8AM till dark.  Deck rental is required if your party exceeds 80 or if your event set-up requires use of the deck.  Rental of the deck does not restrict other park visitors’ access to public facilities. 

Town ordinance requires staffing by an off-duty Holly Springs officer during an event serving alcohol on Town property.  Contracting with an off-duty officer is the responsibility of the renting party and can be done by contacting the Holly Springs Police Department during weekday business hours.  Beer and unfortified wine are the only alcoholic beverages permitted on Town property.  Consumption and service are restricted to the conference room during public park hours, 8AM-dark. 

All deposits are refunded on the first Friday of the month following your rental, pending condition of the room at the conclusion of use.  It is the renter's responsibility to leave the room in as-rented condition.  Park staff will empty trash cans and break down all tables and chairs.

Park staff members are on site during the entirety of each rental.
