Information Services Director
Administration Department - Information Services

Position will provide strategic leadership for the Town’s technology needs for the future.  This includes the oversight of planning, directing and monitoring the Town’s computer and information systems.  Work involves project management; establishing and evaluating systems and making short and long-range plans for effectiveness; coordinating the management, operation and maintenance of networks; developing the Town’s technology standards, policies and infrastructure; overseeing the analysis and installation of a variety of software and hardware applications; collaborating with departments to determine needs; researching and specifying technology solutions; identifying training needs and sources; and supervising staff.   Applicants should have considerable knowledge of information systems technology including the client-server environment as well as the ability to build consensus and provide leadership in organizational technology change, ability to plan and implement information technology needs; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, department heads, staff and outside vendors with an emphasis on customer service.  Bachelor’s degree with a major in computer science or related field and considerable professional experience working in the management of information systems experience, including supervision.  Normal hiring range $65,000 - $72,000 depending on experience.  Closing is Sept. 15 at 5 p.m.  EOE.

Operator I
Water Quality Department

This position will be responsible for operational and maintenance functions at the wastewater treatment plant.  Duties will include monitoring the plant’s operations and making adjustments; performing general preventive and scheduled maintenance; touring the plant and equipment for proper functioning; keeping records; regulating and adjusting monitors, pumps, blowers and valves; and performing other related duties as assigned.  Position requires graduation from high school and experience in the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment, preferably in a wastewater treatment plant, and possession of a Grade I wastewater treatment certification (or the ability to obtain within 12 months of hire) and possession of a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Normal hiring range $29,316 – $32,000, based on experience.

Technical Production Manager

Parks & Recreation Department (Cultural Center)

This position supervises backstage operations for the Holly Springs Cultural Center, managing all sound and lighting aspects of approximately 200 events per year.  Position will be responsible for overseeing theatre, guest artists, and crews in a safe manner; analyzing and negotiating technical requirements for professional touring companies; designing and executing lighting design for professional concert artists; developing and planning lighting composition relative to instrument selection, location, color, media, intensity and cueing; consulting with production companies with regard to set design; recommending any equipment purchases and repair /maintenance work for theatre facilities; and supervising work crews for setup, performance, strike and maintenance; other duties as assigned. Position will work approximately 20 + hours per week including evenings and weekends.  Seeking applicants with experience with ETC light board, 32-channel mixing board, backline and outdoor concerts.  Pay rate is $15.00/hr.  Please submit a Town employment application for consideration.  Open until filled.
