Bass Lake Park

  1. Discovering Nature

    September 8, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM @ Bass Lake Park

    Ages: 4-6. A class for children to explore the natural world around them! Small class sizes and age-appropriate experiments, activities, and games allow children to make their own discoveries while having fun! Each class will focus on a different nature topic. Space is limited, pre-registration is required. No unregistered siblings please.

  2. Bass Lake Photography Club

    September 8, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    This group welcomes all photography enthusiasts from amateur to professional level. You do not need to own a camera to join this club. Membership open to anyone over the age of 18.   3. Holly Springs Garden Club

    September 9, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    Holly Springs Garden Club meets the second Wednesday of each month from 7-9 pm. Activities include speakers, plant exchanges, field trips, and community gardening projects. Visitors are welcome! Share "green thumb" tips and swap plants with beginning and long time gardeners. First two meetings are free. Annual membership dues are $25. Focus is on gardening in North Carolina Piedmont. Affiliated with NC and National Garden Club.

  4. South Wake Conservationists - Wildlife Club

    September 10, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    The South Wake Conservationists wildlife club meets every second Thursday of the month from 7-9 pm. The club is a chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation and will focus on wildlife and habitat conservation. The club will participate in activities to promote conservation at Bass Lake Park as well as other areas around the town of Holly Springs. Meetings are free to attend, but there will be an annual membership fee to join.

  5. Family Bingo

    September 11, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    Come for a little friendly competition! We play 13 games each night. All money leaves as a prize. Most games will pay out the winner's neighbors as well, so if you are not lucky...sit by someone who is! Bingo occurs the second Friday of the month from March to October. Anyone under 18 must by accompanied by an adult. PRE-REGISTRATION IS NOT REQUIRED!

  6. Bass Lake Senior's Bingo

    September 16, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    Everyone's favorite game! Bring your friends and join us every 1st and 3rd Wednesday afternoon of each month from 1-3 pm for BINGO! Cash prizes up to $10. NO PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED! Please no children unless grandparent is caretaker.

  7. Catfish Tournament Pro-Series

    September 19, 7:00 PM - 11:00 PM @ Bass Lake Park

    Come out for a good time and try your luck entering the Catfish Tournament Pro-Series. Pre-register or enter the day of the event by 5:00 pm. Your 3 largest catfish count toward your total weight. Prizes will be given out to the top three places. This is a night tournament and only those entered in the tournament will be allowed to fish after closing. No boats will be rented. It will be all shore fishing for the tournament. All ages welcome!

  8. Explore-A-Story

    September 24, 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM @ Bass Lake Park

    Ages: 3-5 Kids storytime and nature exploration program. Geared for ages 3-5, but all welcome. Enjoy storytime, nature explorations, and nature crafts. We will go for short exploratory walks if weather permits. Each child must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required.

    BREAK A LEG!, written and directed by Sonia Usatch-Kuhn, is an original staged reader's theater production presented by the Holly Springs Reader's Theater Troupeabout a Yale Drama grad who returns to his roots in Holly Springs to start a repertory company with local actors and the competition of the audition process.     Route 55 Jazz Orchestra was founded in the fall of 2006 and its membership consists of community musicians who are serious about their commitment to making authentic Big Band Jazz in the tradition of Basie, Kenton, Miller, and more!   6. Discovery Series presents Smitha Prasad - "Carnatic Concert: Classical Music from South India"

    September 25, 7:30 PM @ Holly Springs Cultural Center

    Discover the latest and greatest in cultural history and traditions from our community. Each month, a North Carolina artist takes the stage to spark your interest about the cultural arts through music, filmmaking, visual art, history, dance, and more. Smitha K. Prasad is a US based Indian Carnatic classical vocalist. A senior disciple of renowned musician and musicologist, Vidushi T.S. Vasanthamadhavi, Smitha regularly performs in the US and in India. Smitha has been named a 2013 Regional Artist by the United Arts Council in North Carolina. She is the first Carnatic musician to have achieved this distinction.

  7. The Classics IV

    The Classics IV is a band formed in 1965. The band is often credited for establishing the "soft southern rock" sound. The band, led by singer Dennis Yost, is known mainly for the hits "Spooky", "Stormy" and "Traces", released 1967 to 1969, which have become cover standards. Reserved seating. Planning & Zoning

  1. Board of Adjustment

    September 8, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Council Chambers

    The Board of Adjustment is an eight-member citizen board that is appointed by the Town Council. Four members and two alternates live inside the Town limits. One member and one alternate live within the Town's extraterritorial jurisdiction. The Board of Adjustment conducts public hearings and renders rulings on variances from the Town’s zoning regulations, appeals to zoning decisions made by the Department of Planning and Zoning staff, and appeals of determinations made by the Environmental Appeal Committee. The board has quasi-judicial powers and acts separately from the Town Council. This means that all board decisions are final and that any appeals go directly to the 10th District Superior Court.
