Council Appoints Board of Adjustment and Planning Board Members

The Holly Springs Town Council appointed members to the Board of Adjustment and Planning Board at its Jan. 15 meeting, among other business.

Jay Marinko and Timothy Forest were appointed to the Board of Adjustment as in-town members, and Morgan Wiley was appointed as an in-town alternate member. The Council re-appointed Shaun McGrath, Ernie Carpico, and Dana Rybak to the Planning Board. All appointments were for three-year terms.

The council also:

  • Approved a 24,998-square-foot warehouse and office facility in the Holly Springs Business Park.
  • Amended a Town Hall Commons development plan for the master sign plan.
  • Adopted an annexation ordinance for about 61 acres near Piney Grove Wilbon Road, Ralph Stephens Road and South Main Street.
  • Approved a special exception use allowing for an athletic facility to provide martial arts training in the multi-tenant building at 171 Tradition Trail.
  • Approved a special exception use at Sugg Farm, allowing for development of amenities that honor the conservation easement on the property.

Also at the meeting:

  • Linda McKinney was sworn in as town clerk.
  • The council welcomed N.C. House District 37 Representative Sydney Batch.
  • The council amended its meeting schedule, including adding the 2019 Annual Council Retreat that will be held Friday, Feb. 8, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 9, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham.
